Our newsletter: What you can expect
18th June 2020
We hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well and we want to thank you for your continued support and understanding during these difficult times.
If you require an appointment, you will need to phone the practice and we will assess your needs and determine how best we can assist you whether it be telephone advice, remote prescribing, video consultation, referral or a face to face appointment later in the month.
We are currently aiming to start seeing patients face to face as of 22nd June, but this is on the proviso that all the required safety measures are in place. Although we will be seeing patients, we must prioritise our appointments according to specific needs.
Please understand that we are doing our absolute best to accommodate all patients that require an appointment. However, due to the current guidelines and requirements we are not able to treat as many patients, within a day than what we could previously. We are doing everything we can to see all of you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.
Changes to expect when we open….
Hand Hygiene
Hand hygiene has always been a high priority at Moonlight Dental Surgery. To adhere to new guidelines, we have implemented the additional measures:
- Hand sanitiser stations at all required areas within the practice
- All sanitisation facilities are foot or elbow operated to avoid hand contact
Physical Distancing
The following measures have been implemented:
- Floor markers to indicate 2-meter distance
- 1 patient in the practice at any time
- Digital forms emailed prior to arrival to avoid pen/paper usage
- Only essential team members in the practice per day
- Waiting in your car/the car park pager system
Personal Protective Equipment
Moonlight Dental Surgery has always adhered to all regulations and guidelines regarding PPE in the clinical team.
Now we have additional measures to provide PPE for our clerical staff and patients/visitors* when required.
*We do not sell PPE and can only provide it when it is required.
We are still in the process of getting everything set up, and safe. As soon as we are ready to open, we will be in touch.
Until then….if you need us….
We understand, if you suffer a dental problem at home this could be a daunting and distressing experience for you. Especially knowing you cannot just visit us like you normally would. However, we are still here to help! Our phone line is still operational during our open hours. Currently we are still providing telephone advice for patients who are experience dental emergencies. We would ask that patients avoid calling 111 where possible and contact us as normal if they have a query.
Alternatively, we are offering video appointments with Dr Gill. This allows you to see Dr Gill and speak to him regarding any dental problems you may be experiencing.
