How to find an NHS dentist
31st May 2016
People often say that an NHS dentist is hard to find these days, but at Moonlight Dental Surgery in Slough we offer a full range of National Health Service dental care, from some of the most skilled professionals in their field.

At our Slough clinic, we believe that everybody deserves top quality treatment, no matter what their circumstances may be. NHS dentistry is priced by band, and charges (which were increased by the government in 2016) are set to rise again in 2017, so if you are looking for the services of an NHS dentist in Slough we urge you to register now.
All of our NHS clinicians are passionate about their work, and are caring, informative, and patient towards their clients. Never be afraid to ask a question or raise any concerns you may have about your treatment; they will be more than happy to take the time to explain everything to you in a concise yet easy to understand manner, so that you know exactly what to expect at every stage of treatment.
Below are the treatment bands for work by an NHS dentist, including band charges and which treatments are covered by each level. Remember that these charges will rise again in April 2017, so don’t delay – book an appointment at our Slough dentalpractice today.
These are the 2015-2016 NHS dental bands and charges.
Band 1: £19.70 – This includes routine examination, diagnosis and advice. X-rays, a scale and polish (tooth clean) and treatment planning are also included in Band 1.
Band 2: £53.90 – As well as all the treatments from Band 1, Band 2 includes additional treatments including fillings, root canal treatment, and tooth extraction.
Band 3: £233.70 – This band covers more complex procedures – crowns, dentures, and bridges. Of course, Band 1 and 2 treatments are also included in this price.
Eligibility for free treatment
Many people qualify for free treatment from an NHS dentist. If you think that you may qualify, or if you are uncertain about whether you need to pay, please talk to a member of our reception team.
