Finding an NHS dentist can be a challenge these days. That’s why, at Moonlight Dental Surgery in Slough, we are keen to welcome new NHS patients who are looking for a dentist.
NHS patients at our Slough practice will benefit from a team of experienced, caring dentists who have the same level of experience as some of the industry’s top practitioners. We offer a full range of NHS services, including crowns, bridges and dentures.
Your NHS dentist will be professional, caring and informative at all times, providing you with all the information you need to make educated choices about any treatment you may require. Whether you pay for treatment or receive free dental care, you can always expect the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
You are eligible for free treatment from an NHS dentist if you are aged 18 or under (19 if you are a full-time student), you are pregnant or have a baby under the age of one, or are in receipt of certain benefits. If you want to check whether you are eligible for free NHS dental care, please check with a member of our helpful reception team before you see your dentist.
Common treatments such as metal amalgam fillings are available on the NHS. White fillings may be available for teeth near the front of your mouth – please check with your dentist if you need a filling.
Charges for work from an NHS dentist are calculated by band. For 2015-16, the bands and prices are as follows:
Band 1: £18.80 includes an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes x-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
Band 2: £51.30 includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
Band 3: £222.50 includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges
