Ask your dentist about subtle ways to straighten your teeth
26th April 2016
Your dentist has many more options available to them than just standard metal braces if you want them to straighten your teeth. At Moonlight Dental Surgery in Slough, we offer treatment with a number of discreet orthodontic products – both fixed appliances (braces) and removable ones (aligners).

Any dentist will tell you that it is worth straightening your teeth, no matter what your age or circumstances. Straighter teeth tend to be much healthier than crooked or crowded ones for the simple reason that they are easier to keep clean.
Of course, you will still have to keep up regular appointments with your dentist and hygienist to keep your oral health in tip-top condition, but if you are interested in teeth straightening in Slough, read on to find out how we can help.
What your Sloughdentist can do
Your first step on the journey to straighter teeth should be to come into our Slough dental practice for a consultation. The dentist will examine your teeth and your bite, and will then talk you through the pros and cons of all relevant treatment options.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles are cosmetic braces that work quickly and discreetly. They do this by focussing on the front six to eight teeth in the top or bottom jaw, and comprise of tooth-coloured wires and clear brackets.
Inman Aligner
The Inman Aligner is another fast-acting device that your dentist can use to correct protruding or crowded front teeth. It is a discreet, removable aligner. Typical treatment time is between eight and 16 weeks.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that can correct more extensive issues than the Inman Aligner or Six Month Smiles. Your dentist will prescribe the required number of aligners and you should wear them for about 22 hours a day. You change your aligner every fortnight.
