At our Slough dental practice we recommend bringing children in to see the dentist from an early age. This serves a number of purposes; first, it means they will quickly become acclimatised to the practice environment and will learn to see the dentist as a friendly face. This can reduce the risk of dental phobia later in life.
Secondly, advice about tooth brushing, how diet or habits such as thumb sucking can affect oral health will be presented in an age-appropriate manner.
